What it is
Couples shopping for an officiant ask the same few things in the same order. Who is this person, what does it cost, will he travel to us, and can we have the ceremony we want. Most officiant sites bury those answers behind a gallery and a contact form. This one leads with them.
The business sells one thing, a single Wedding Package with a published price and a plain list of what is in it. That let the site stay small and direct: a home page that explains the offer, a package page with the details and a frequently asked questions section, and an inquiry form that goes straight to Pastor Mark.
The look comes from the place. Deep pine, the warm gold of dry foothill grass, and a bookish serif for headings. The ridgelines and foothill artwork are drawn as SVG, so they stay sharp on any screen and weigh almost nothing.

How it is built
Small, fast, and locked down. Nothing on the page needs a framework to do its job.
The inquiry form posts to a serverless function instead of a form service. The function checks a Turnstile token to filter spam, then sends the details by email, so a real inquiry reaches him and a bot does not. The pages are plain HTML, and a small stylesheet keeps the menu usable even if JavaScript never loads.
- Hosting Cloudflare Pages with a Pages Function for the form
- Front End Semantic HTML5, hand-coded CSS, and a no-JavaScript fallback for the menu
- Type Libre Caslon and Libre Franklin, self-hosted as WOFF2 files
- Security A strict Content Security Policy and headers that block framing
- Artwork Ridge and foothill illustrations drawn as SVG
- AI Readers llms.txt and llms-full.txt with the main pages and every blog post
